Currently working as a member of the Umatilla Interdisciplinary
Team to prepare a Forest Management Plan as required by BIA regulation.
MB&G staff are responsible for recommending a schedule of watershed
management activities along with standards and guidelines for performing
those activities to ensure both the long-term health of the tribe's
valuable riparian habitat and a reasonable flow of timber revenue.
MB&G is developing a planning model that will help fish and wildlife
biologists, hydrologists and decision makers understand the biological
and economic consequences of various management activities. |
