ODOT Full Delivery Turnkey Mitigation for Yaquina Basin US 20 Corridor Improvements

ODOT Full Delivery Turnkey Mitigation for Yaquina Basin US 20 Corridor Improvements

ODOT Full Delivery Turnkey Mitigation for Yaquina Basin US 20 Corridor Improvements As project manager for ODOT’s first ever turnkey, consultant-delivered project, MB&G is managing compensatory mitigation for the ODOT US20: Pioneer Mountain to Eddyville (PME) project. The compensatory mitigation addresses wetland/waters and fish passage impacts associated with the PME Project. Mitigation scope includes site studies, design, permitting, construction, landowner and stakeholder coordination, and long-term stewardship of two mitigation sites, all with minimal ODOT oversight. Our work will include the removal of a critical passage barrier, restoration of a 400-foot reach of Bull Creek, establishment of permanent riparian buffers on private timberland through deed restrictions, and design and construction of approximately 1.5 acres of wetlands and channel stream habitat. To identify spawning and rearing habitat barriers along the affected upstream reaches, MB&G performed a GIS analysis of potential sites and is currently working with a significant land manager to negotiate potential mitigation sites. MB&G expects to conduct post-construction monitoring through 2023. Salem Airport Industrial Site Readiness Project

Salem Airport Industrial Site Readiness Project The City of Salem is partnering with Business Oregon on the completion of industrial site readiness activities for four parcels of vacant land at the Salem Airport (McNary Field). With the completion of these studies, the City of Salem has been informed of activities which might be necessary in order to develop the four properties in the future. MB&G performed wetland delineation and endangered species site assessment fieldwork for the project area. Deliverables included a Biological Evaluation and Wetland Delineation report for the City of Salem. MB&G also managed cultural resources, hazardous materials, and hydraulic engineer subconsultants throughout this project. Stuart provided project management, authored the Biological Evaluation, and lead the endangered species site assessment fieldwork. PacifiCorp Muddy River Acclimation Pond Decommissioning

PacifiCorp Muddy River Acclimation Pond Decommissioning

PacifiCorp Muddy River Acclimation Pond Decommissioning MB&G is supporting PacifiCorp in the Muddy River Acclimation Pond Decommissioning Project, which is currently underway.  Originally the acclimation pond was built to support anadromous fish travel throughout the Muddy River. High river flow has impaired the acclimation channel’s ability to function for its intended purpose. MB&G is supporting PacifiCorp in field delineations, GPS surveying, low-impact construction analysis, and permitting support for the removal of the acclimation pond structures.
