US 395: McKay Creek – Silvies Slough (Bundle 414) Design Build Project

Bundle414MB&G managed environmental regulatory compliance during the final design and construction of seven bridge replacements and one bridge repair effort for this $50 million design-build construction contract. The bridge crossings are located in three counties and eight separate watersheds in eastern Oregon, spanning over 200 miles from the northernmost crossing to the southernmost crossing. MB&G biologists and construction monitors conducted environmental compliance monitoring and reporting as well as fish salvage activities during the four-year construction process. In addition, MB&G developed and implemented an environmental training program for construction staff that educated construction crews on the myriad of environmental issues and requirements for the eight project locations. MB&G managed post-construction site restoration and mitigation activities to maintain project compliance with various permit conditions.
