The MB&G staff includes state certified appraisers and the firm is frequently used as expert witness on a variety of valuation issues. Both large and small companies, along with private landowners, have used MB&G's consulting services for years. They continue to do so because we provide accurate, timely solutions.

Timberland Management

One of the bedrocks of the firm’s long history has been timberland management. We work with you, the timberland owner, to determine your goals and then develop a plan that reaches these goals the way you want. Our assistance may include inventories, harvest plans, sale supervision, reforestation, and advice about applicable regulatory and environmental concerns. While the term "timberland management" may overlap into many areas of the firm’s work, it is MB&G’s ability to bring all the resources together under one management group that is MB&G's power.

Timber Harvest Planning

Whether it is for the United States Forest Service or a private owner with 30 acres, MB&G can assist with timber harvest planning that is right for a particular owner. Services may include schedules for pre-commercial thinning, fertilization, and other practices designed to maximize total resource value. Using in-house forestry software, we can develop a number of scenarios, analyze the effects of different management programs, and project the financial results.

Environmental Due Diligence

MB&G has performed audits to examine forest management practices and assess resource sustainability. We have experience assessing environmental suitability and preparing Environmental Action Plans.
