Hi-Ridge Lumber Company Performed an environmental review of seven U.S. Forest Service timber sales purchased by Hi-Ridge on the Modoc, Klamath, Lassen, and Shasta-Trinity National Forests in northern California. Identified areas of non-compliance with the Endangered Species Act, National Forest Management Act, and National Environmental Policy Act to assist Hi-Ridge with USFS timber sale modifications.
Bank of Montreal Evaluated existing and potential future influences of biological resources on timberland valuation. Factors considered for the appraisal included fish and wildlife species listed or proposed for listing under the Federal Endangered Species Act, and biological and water resource protections provided by the various state forest practices rules.
First Union Bank Analyzed the effects of various environmental regulations on timberland value of a 4,900-acre tract north of Mt. St. Helens in Lewis County, Washington. MB&G collected information on the presence of threatened and endangered fish, wildlife, and plants in the vicinity of this tract.
U.S. Timberlands Prepared an appraisal for the acquisition of 56,000 acres of timberland abutting the Wenatchee National Forest in the Yakima River drainage in eastern Washington. MB&G analyzed the effects of fish, wildlife, and plants listed or proposed to be listed under the Federal Endangered Species Act on timberland value.
