Carl joined MB&G during 1998 after more than 20 years with Georgia-Pacific Corporation where his most recent position was Western Region Manager, Environmental Affairs, Forest Resources. He took the lead on and set policy for all natural resources environmental issues impacting approximately 500,000 acres of fee timberland in the western region (Oregon and California). He has also been responsible for directing raw material movement for five company sawmills and two paper mills as well as domestic and export log sales. While at MB&G, Carl ’s work has included 631(a) tax analysis involving the determination of stumpage values of timber harvested from lands owned in the western and southern states. He has also been involved in the valuation of approximately 1.5 million acres of timberland in the US and New Zealand.
