Tom Baribault, Ph.D.
At MB&G, Tom focuses on forest growth and yield modeling, economic analysis, and forest management planning. His technical skills include biometry and inventory analysis, yield projections, and familiarity with a variety of statistical methods. Tom has 11 years of experience including ecological research in Costa Rica, the US Midwest, and the US Northeast, where he characterized soil nutrient drivers of forest biomass production across resource and latitude gradients. He has written successful management plans for national and international forestry programs, including current plans for the Forest Legacy Program and the Forest Stewardship Council.
Tom’s background includes working as a forest manager and planning specialist in Hawaii, where he worked for multiple private clients, the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources, Department of Hawaiian Homelands, and the Office of Hawaiian Affairs. Tom has a Ph.D. in Forest Ecology from Michigan State University and a B.A. in Chemistry from Vassar College.
