Natural Resources GIS Analyst / Programmer
Megan has eight years of experience working as a Natural Resource GIS Analyst and Programmer. Prior to MB&G, Megan spent the last few years working on the Aerial Firefighting Use and Effectiveness Study for the US Forest Service. There, she developed and implemented working solutions to identify critical issues and needs within the program including an extensive QA/QC process that removed a significant portion of error from datasets. She is skilled at providing guidance on data standards, data collection modules, data management strategies, GIS training and training material, data security protocols and methodology, as well as technology trouble shooting. Megan holds a Graduate Certificate in Geospatial Information Science, from North Carolina State University, Raleigh; and a B.S. in Natural Resources Management and Economics from North Carolina State University at Raleigh.
