Pete joined MB&G in 1982 and has performed several timber cruising projects across the western states. In 1984, Pete began working with the Avery Family Forest Project in Scio, OR, and was later promoted to Project Supervisor. Today, the Avery Family Forest Project serves as a prime example of a successfully managed family forest thanks to Pete’s hard work and outstanding leadership. In addition to his work with MB&G, Pete is a District Chair Inspector at Oregon Tree Farm System (OTFS) for both Linn and Marion Counties. Since 2002, he has been responsible for outreach to all landowners in both counties to find interest in becoming certified sustainable forest landowners and members of OTFS.
Pete has a Bachelor of Science in Forest Management from the University of Idaho. In 2013 Pete was selected as the Oregon Tree Farm Inspector of the year from the Oregon Tree Farm System and represented the Western region at the 2013 National Leadership Conference. This prestigious award recognized Pete’s dedication and ingenuity over 133 nominated inspectors.
