Forest Planning Analyst
Andy is a forest planning analyst at MB&G and is part of the Inventory and Biometrics team. Andy’s expertise includes forest planning, growth and yield modeling, and forest inventory. Andy specializes in the construction and utilization of forest planning models applicable for strategic and tactical harvest scheduling and real estate valuation. He has constructed planning models for the Pacific Northwest, the Lake States, and the Southern United States.
Andy assists in a variety of inventory related projects such as year-end updates of large tree inventories. His other skills include extensive work with relational databases and detailed reporting through MS-Excel. Andy received his Bachelor’s of Science in Forest Management and Masters of Science in Forest Biometrics and Statistics from Stephen F, Austin State University. Andy’s past experience includes working for industrial forest companies as inventory manager, forest analyst, and research forester. His combination of degrees and his 13+ years of forest analytical experience provide him with the knowledge to help clients build, validate, and evaluate their forest plans and planning options, and to provide detailed reports of their outcomes.
