MB&G is pleased to start the new year with additions to our executive team.
Reggie Fay has been promoted to Principal. Fay has over 25 years of experience and leads MB&G’s Inventory and Biometrics Group. He has been with MB&G since 2004 where he manages forest inventory, data management, and analysis projects. Additionally, Fay develops forest inventory sampling methodology for yearly inventory maintenance and verification projects. He also assists clients in preparation of third-party forest certification audits under the FSC, SFI and PEFC standards. Fay earned his B.S. in Forest Resources Management and his M.S. in Quantitative Forest Management and Silviculture from the University of Georgia. Fay has played a critical role combining technology and culture change to provide outstanding client service.
Henk Stander, Ph.D., has been promoted to Associate. Stander is a Forest Planning Analyst and Group Manager for MB&G’s Forest Planning and Economics Group. He has 16 years of experience in forest resource planning and management which spans a wide range of countries and forest types, in particular Southern Africa, Pacific Northwest, Southeastern US, Malaysia and New Zealand. Henk has a Ph.D. in Forest Engineering from Oregon State University, a B.S. in Forestry from University of Stellenbosch, and a B.S. in Geo-Information Science from University of Pretoria.
Kerry Halligan, Ph.D., has been promoted to Associate. Halligan is a Senior GIS Analyst and Software Developer who focuses on developing innovative GIS, remote sensing, and data management software. He is the lead architect of MB&G’s MobileMap and Spatial Content Management Systems technologies and utilizes the latest developments in GIS, web development, and mobile technology. Halligan is skilled in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise GIS solutions including desktop, mobile, and web mapping applications. He has a background in forest ecology and earned his Ph.D. and M.A. in Geography from University of California Santa Barbara, and a B.S. in Ecology from Western Washington University.
Steve Ziegler, RPF, CPESC, has been promoted to Associate. Ziegler is a Senior Forester and General Manager of MB&G’s Yreka, CA field office. Ziegler has over 37 years of forest management experience and currently manages approximately 90,000 acres of timberland for various clients from Central Western Oregon to Northern California. He is responsible for a wide range of management activities including harvest planning; preparation, sale, and administration of commercial timber sales; reforestation and intermediate stand treatments; design, supervision of construction, and reconstruction of road systems; general property protection; and Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Certification. After earning his B.S. in Forest Management from Humboldt State University, he went on to become a Registered Professional Forester (RPF) in California, a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), and a Qualified Tree Farm Inspector.
