MB&G Adds Seven New Employees

Our team is Growing! MB&G is pleased to announce the following additions to our team:

Katie Conrad is the most recent addition to MB&G’s Support Services Group. As Accounting Assistant, she will support accounting while completing her B.S. in Accounting at Portland State University. Katie is a Canadian native and has been living in Oregon since 2015. She is currently the Vice President of Beta Alpha Psi, the Accounting and Finance Honor Society. Read more about Katie.

Megan Cooke has eight years of experience working as a Natural Resource GIS Analyst and Programmer. She is skilled at providing guidance on data standards, data collection modules, data management, GIS training, and technology trouble shooting. Megan holds a Graduate Certificate in Geospatial Information Science from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, and a B.S. in Natural Resources Management and Economics from North Carolina State University at Raleigh. David Greenberg, Ph.D., is a seasoned geospatial analyst and forest ecologist with nearly 15 years of experience analyzing, modeling, and mapping geospatial patterns in forest vegetation in seven countries. As a Senior Geospatial Analyst, he has high-level expertise in the collection, management, analysis, and visualization of spatial data with GPS, GIS, and R programming. David holds a Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology from University of California at Santa Barbara, and a B.A. in Biology from Skidmore College, New York. Read more about David.

Lauren Jastermsky employs her previous experience in research and customer service for her role as Administrative Assistant at MB&G. She spends much of her time at the front desk as well as completing special administrative and project-support projects. Lauren previously worked as an assistant to the head of the Masters in Public Health program at University of South Florida. She is originally from Maine and attended the University of South Florida in Tampa, where she earned a B.A. in Anthropology with a focus on Forensic Anthropology. Read more about Lauren.

Kay Mitchell joins our Support Services Group as an Accounts Payable Specialist. Kay has a combined 10 years of experience in accounting and payroll with seven years working for a professional service firm. Kay is responsible for paying all vendors, reconciling accounts, employee payroll, and utilization reports.  She is an Oregon native and holds a B.S. in Sociology from Portland State University. Margaret Pettygrove, Ph.D., joins our Geospatial Services Group as a Natural Resource GIS Analyst / Programmer. Margaret is skilled in many geospatial tools including web mapping applications, open source GIS, spatial statistics programs, and ArcGIS. She is a former geography instructor and researcher in where her primary responsibilities included creating and managing GIS databases; procuring, preparing, and analyzing geospatial data; constructing GIS models; and creating GIS maps for private and public organizations. Margaret holds a Ph.D., a GIS Certificate, and a M.A. in Geography from the University of Wisconsin, as well as B.A. in Religious Studies from Macalester College. Read more about Margaret.

Philip Watts, Jr. is an on-site GISP Spatial and RDBMs Tool Developer for MB&G. He has over 10 years of experience working on geospatial natural resource management projects. His expertise includes creating maps; NEPA coordination; oil/gas application permits and environmental assessments; range and wildlife landscape improvements and permits; and realty right-of-way actions. He is apt in ESRI ArcGIS, Spatial Data Engine (SDE), and Python scripting. Phillip also supports incident management teams during fire season. Philip has a Masters in Applied Geography from New Mexico State University, and a B.S. in Cartography from the University of Idaho. Read more about Philip.

Meghan Woods brings over 10 years of professional GIS experience in spatial analysis, cartography, data management, and consulting services as well as five years of experience in graphic design to her positon as a Natural Resource Geospatial Specialist at MB&G. Meghan has extensive experience with multiple GIS/GPS software environments and their interoperability, and provides technical assistance in support of adoption of new technologies. She holds a B.B.A. in Economics and Marketing from the University of North Florida. Read more about Meghan.
